Sales at Typo

 Hello there,
Last weekend, I went again to Setia Alam City Mall and this time I can't resist TYPO. With huge sales, I got myself two spinout notebooks at RM3.00 each. It was so cheap!
I got myself 2013 diary only at RM12.00. Unfortunately, today I received official diary from my office and this year design wass so cool compared to previous years. Now, I'm not sure what to do with my TYPO diary.
I love this owl so much and am so glad when it was only RM5.50. However, when I placed it on my table, it was waaaaaaaay toooooooooo black. Need to get the same owl but in a lighter to contrast with the dark black.

Last item was a mug only at RM6.00. My office mug has been stolen and I hate the thief. Urghhhh... I got the mug from a consultant when working at previous office and the mug has the consultant's office logo. Let say it as 'S'. Then when working at current office, the same consultant (diff person) has been engaged to do some projects. And she come to our pantry when I'm away and it goes like this:
The Girl: Hi, can I borrow some mug?
My office mate: Yeah why not. You can take any of these. It all ours.
The Girl: Eh.... 'S'. It's my office. I'll take this. Thank you :)

Then she never returned the mug to our pantry. Does it because of the logo? I mean, come on.... if I wear a Nike shoes, can any Nike shareholders take my shoes? Same goes to my mug!

OMG I love the mug so much because I work like hell at my previous office. It was some sort of recognition for my hard work.Grrrr....

Okay enough rambling for today. I should stay away from the mall now.

Notebook Again :)

Hi,

I have a lot of notebooks and organizer at my office. It's normal when every  year we change our notebook and organizer. However, some of the information in the previous notebooks or organizers was quite important for our job. And it's normal when we repetitively copying the important notes to our new book. Sometimes, we need to refer back to our closed book for some tutorials, how-to notes and minutes of discussions. All these things make me tired and annoying.

To solve the problem, I select important notes from all my closed book and tear it up. Then I recompiled it with a specific group like General Information, Project A and so on. With that, I only need to refer to one source only for important information. Well maybe sometimes I need open my closed book again but it's for adhoc case only. I hope so :)

I tried to design the book to be more corporate like. But corporate theme is boring and killing my nerve. So at the end, it become like this. Something that is wayyyyy too cute for office atmosphere. Hmmm what to do? It's from me who can't refuse cute things. :)

Materials

My CookBook

Hi,

It's time for me to write down all my messy recipes and get organised. Most of the time, I got the recipes from my family and friends. Well, I wrote it everywhere I can hold on.. note book, hand phone and even on a newspaper. If I search online at the office before coming home from work, I'll just use a memo pad... So, it's a total mess.

I'm 28, unfortunately I'm new with cooking (except for instant noodle or basic things such as fried banana.. can it be considered as cooking?). My husband used to ask "what are you doing for the whole 27 years?". Ahhhh yup I'm a bad cooker!

To get organised and to ensure that my recipes won't went missing, I just made a simple cookbook. It's not complete yet as I'm not sure how to categorised it. Forgive me for skipping the title as my printer was went out of ink. Later later.... I'll update the new version of the cookbook okay?

Plain papers

Pad & Quill App

Hi,

This time I want to introduce Pad & Quill App to you guys. This is a note book app where you can have a multiple note books with a variety of covers in your app.

I like it because of the sleek & modern design for a note book. It's really smart and beautiful for those who love to write a journal.

Nevertheless, I do think that this app does not suit me well as I am a multitasking person. If I have a physical note book, I'm not only journal-ing, but I also use it as a scheduler, things to do, things to buy, notes to self and etc.

Due to that reason, I deleted this app and use another app that really suit me. Even when this app is so adorable!.

Anyway, if you really like to try, just buy it from iTunes at only $0.99.

ps: I'll share app that I'm using now later :)

New Red Organizer

Hello peeps. After browsing the The Creative Place blog, I'm passionate in doing some craft work today and here are the result.

This is my daily organizer (brand: Carry It) bought two years ago at MPH Bookstore. I'm getting bored with it and left it underutilized for months. Thinking of there are few days more before we came to a new year, I add some new colors into it.

Its much more exciting and personalized!

Loving it!

Note Book 2

I need a new book for my upcoming project. As usual, I made it by with all materials that I've already own. A way to save money :)

STEPS:

1) You need to have a note book. :)

2) Second basic item you need is a wrapping paper. Cut the paper accordingly to wrap your book.

3) Cut paper like picture below. Then glue it at the left and right side of the wrapping paper (depending on your creativity, my idea is not absolute to follow)

4) Wrap your book and from inside, your book will look like the second picture below.

5) Empty front? Not for me :)
I shall add a title to the book.

5.1) Create and cut a frame on a card-stock paper. Design your book title.

5.2) Glue a ribbon at the back of your book title

5.3) Tadaa... Glue it on your note book cover.

6) For finishing, I wanted to add a ribbon book mark. Just glue a ribbon on the back cover (inside) of the book.

Notes Book 001

RM 12
RM 15
RM 18

Above are prices of most of the book notes that i like. Why so expensive? Its C.U.T.E. A reasonable answer for a girls. :)

But does it affordable?
First time: Yes
Second times: Yess
Third times: Ermm.. but i like it.. can i have it?
Forth times: Ermmmmmmm... maybe i'll get it next month
Fifth times: Sayangnye duit.. :(
Now: NO! NO! NO!

So, this time, I decided that I wanted to do my own note book. Simple, C.U.T.E and cheaper. :)

What you need:

Notes book :)
I got it for about RM2

Stationary, wrapping paper, ribbon and accessories.

Step 1:

We need to wrap the notes book. So, cut your wrapping paper accordingly.

Step 2:

Glue a ribbon on your already-cut wrapping paper.

Step 3:

Wrap your notes book and it will ended like below.

Step 4:

Glue a paper inside your notes book cover. To ensure you would have a good end finishing.

Step 5:

Add accessories to your notes book. I just glued 3 'things' (i don't know what :)) at the ribbon. PS: I got 'it' from MPH about RM3 (20 pieces). You can keep the balances for other project :)

Following the steps, you could have end product like above. :)

Love :)
