Boxes of happiness

I'm bored and this is what I did on Sunday afternoon. Organising my locker with boxes wrapped with Typo's wrapping papers.

First box is to place all gadget accessories such as pendrives, hard disk, cables, chargers and batteries. Yeah we have a lot of it.

Second box is for medicines.

Hopefully it will stay organised like this for a longger time.

Sewing Project: Large Tote Bag

Hello there,

Yay I finally sew myself a Large Tote Bag :) Patterned and instruction from Cath Kidston's book, Sew! I used to post about this book here and my first project from this book is here. Fabric from IKEA. Wohoooo.....

I would say that for a beginner, it was hard to understand the instruction. Like, what is seaming? buttonhole? press inward? Duhhhh! But if we read slowly, google-d every alien words and try to imagine the construction process, we will survive. Indeed, it was not that hard :)

Original pattern has one pocket with button at the front of the bag. I hate button installation process and if I want to use the bag as a shopping bag, button is a big NO NO. It's so fussy! Instead, I change it to become two small pockets, enough to fit a small notebook or a wristlet. It's more simpler and I loveeeee lots of pockets.

The bag was lining with the same fabric. I don't have any extra fabric that suit the main fabric. Furthermore, this is an unplanned project :). Inside, there are two small pockets. One fit for coins/keys and one fit for iPhone :)

ps: I took about 5 hours to finish this sewing project. Most of the time was spend to read and understand the manual and fabric cutting.

Here are some pictures of the bags :) Love it so much!

While understanding the instruction.

Oh yeah, it's my birthday week :)
My husband treat me with a shopping spreeeeeeeee! The best gift ever.
I got myself a tunic blouse from H&M. The pattern is as above but the cutting is as below.

Then a new handbag from Charles & Keith. Something that I really want badly!
Hurm... what I don't understand is that at the website (online store - Malaysia), it cost USD69. If converted to MYR, it will be RM216.35. But at the store, it only cost around RM170. Maybe it's wise to just buy it from the store instead of their online store.

Then a new shoes from Charles & Keith to replace my worn out office shoes.
Hooorayyy. I love my birthday gift this year :) May this year be a good year for me and I should live more productively and enjoy every moment in my life.

TM RESPECT by ABSTRAX

My dad surely annoying with this shirts if we wear it at his home.. hihi because he is not into Tun Mahathir, UMNO, BN so much. Well, I choose it not because of the political agenda, it's just that we love Tun Mahathir :)

New prints in the house :)

Hello gorgeous :)

Remeber about free printables that I used to post? Refer here for the posting. I love the first print after seeing the world map in Elle Apparel. But since I don't have any world map, the downloaded picture seem quite good.

To print the pictures, I bought Wedoo promotion at Groupon here. It's only RM28 for 6 prints. Add on another RM10 for delivery (but you can choose to self pickup for free). The promotion was for glossy, laminated, acid free and water resistant 12R posters. So cool!

ps: Original price is RM127 :)

So I print the said pictures and here are the result. Other four are my personal photos. Can't wait to buy frames and hang it around the house :)

Check out posting here

I really satisfied with the quality of the printings. Can't wait for another promotion!

She's so beautiful

Original picture was from Artsy Attic here

I think she is so pretty :)
Nowadays a lot of blogs selling hijab and gosh... the models were beautiful and pose like a pro!
But this model at Artsy Attic was totally different. They didn't overdo her makeup. It's simple and natural. She was not over posed and modest. Love her so much :)

I'm broke!

Hello,

I'm broke broke after spending a lot of money on shopping. It has been soooooo long that I spend money uncontrollably after getting married :) Well, it's a bonus & a year end sales month.

Image from my Instagram here

I went to Setia Alam City Mall with my husband to check out the new shopping place. Unfortunately, this shopping mall was a fun place for shopaholic. Lot of brands suitable for my style, age and like. We only walked 1 1/2 floors because along the way I've spent around RM300++. Duh!

Some of the items that I bought are:
Basic tee and cardigan from H&M
Flats from Charles & Keith
Man watch strap from Fossil

My 2013 resolution is to reduce 7kg of my weight. Maybe the resolution was created only to have an excuses to shop more. Training gears that I newly bought are:

Long sport bra by Reebok - it's only RM55 from Al Ikhsan Factory Outlet.
Yoga mat by Nike - it's only RM59 from Al Ikhsan (Alamanda)
Dumbbell 2lb (800gram) only RM9.20 from Fitness (Alamanda)

My husband comment "gear dah macam professional tapi setakat aerobik je boleh kurus ke?".. Grrrrr

The most unexpected purchase is this Sony A290 (second hand item). I got this for RM450. Cheap meh :) It was so irresistible even though I've never plan on getting any DSLR. For a long period maybe I should only use the auto settings. Hehehe

When I'm broke, the best option is to stay at home every weekend. I got a list of pending craft projects such as sewing a new basic curtain, sewing a new pajama trouser and learning more on how to crochet :)

Enough rambling for today
Until next time

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

One Piece

Original picture from here

Hi dear darlings,

Currently I'm super obsessed with anime One Piece. Most of my time was consumed watching this series without fail which now, I've reached episode 100 within fortnight. This anime really.. really.. really.. funny which I can't stop laughing watching it. I can't stop crying too when watched the sad part especially episode about Nami, the navigator. I'm not going to talk about this anime summary as you can Google about it. What I wanted to touch here is about the characters, i.e. starting from whom I like most to the lesser. :)

Roronoa Zoro
I like Zoro because he is a bad-ass (pardon my word) and handsome (big point on this criteria) man. Fierce, no fear and brave. He fight seriously and damn (pardon my word) it's so smart :) ngeeee. He is a swordsman in the ship and a second fighter among the crew.
Ps: He's number one because of his super good look :)

Monkey D. Luffy
Luffy is the main character of One Piece which act as a captain of his nakama (crew). He's a simple minded man and funny but most of the time he's so stupid, careless and burden to the crew. However, he is the strongest among his crew, an understanding friend, helpful when needed and firm when making his decision. This is the funniest character of One Piece.

Sanji
Another good look character in the house! This is Sanji, the cook of the pirate ship. He love to cook and really cared about his foods. He cooked for the crew members especially for Nami and any other beautiful girl guest on board. He's strong and his main fighting skills is lower part of his body, to preserve his delicate hands. I love his kicking fighting style. Fuyooo!

Nami
I love Nami after watching her special episode which involve the Arlong and Arlong's crew. She's the navigator of the ship and her dream is to draw world map. She's an important key person in the ship as she is the one to hold all the crew together and keep them well behave. Well, what can you expect when boys traveling together?...it's a mess! She hold and control the ship money too but so stingy to spent it. It's only for the ship supplies and ..... HER CLOTHES.

Tony Tony Chopper

OMG...! Chopper was so kawaii. He's the most cutest character in One Piece. His look, his voice, his character, his everything was so cute.. A crying baby but at the same time so brave to take care of himself. I can't stop laughing watching him :) ps: he is a doctor in the ship.

There are another ship's crew in One Piece that is Usopp and Nico Robin. However I'm not into these two characters. Usopp is a big NO while Nico Robin has the potential, but maybe after she's open up her heart to express more of herself.

More about One Piece here.

Watching One Piece make me stop doing a lot of things especially crafting and reading. But I can't stop it and I don't want to miss it. To make myself productive (so pathetic), I create a rewarding program for house chores. Every house chores I did, I can reward myself with up to three episodes. With that program, my house is super clean and well organized :) Hihihihi

I managed to slot in some diy projects along the way while watching the series. It's a simple projects where you can do while watching TV. I'll post it later yeah babe :)

Fuh... ok let stop the rambling here.

bye

I have Cath Kidston's bag too

Hello friends,

Finally I have my own Cath Kidston's bag! Hoooooray..but, it is a HANDMADE! Yup finally I managed to sew it by following the instruction from the Cath Kidston's book as posted here.

The materials are from the book itself which consist of duct cotton, buttons and Cath Kidston's label. It was my first time using duct cotton and damn, it was so thick and hard to sew. It's my first time too, to sew a circle with sewing machine which was so tricky. At the end, I hand sew all the circles area. Hahahahaha.... Anyway, here is the result :)

For a meanwhile, my friends and I have engaged into a sewing class and the subject is 'Baju Kurung'. This class was held at our office every Friday lunch break. One way to consume our break time with a great activity :) Hopefully, I'm able to sew a decent cloth for myself (at least!).

Our teacher was great too. She bought the essential tools for us like below. Yup she bought it all since it was hard to find a any sewing store near our office or my home. Lucky us! Can't wait for the next class though.

Pssst... my Picasa account finally full! I never thought that I've posted so much pictures in here :(. So, every month I need to bear the storage cost to maintain this blog :(

Stay tuned for new masking/washi tapes girls!

Before I end this posting, let me share with you cloth that take my breath away. It's a simple denim shirt with embroidery details on the pockets. I want! I want! I want!

Reading Corner

Hello,

For me, decoration is very tough work. It's tiring especially in making decision, on the design and furniture selection. I would say that my home decoration is simple, but it's tooooo simple and booooooring. So, decoration is not my field. I wish I have large money so that I can hire any professional to decorate my house.

Anyway, there is one area in my house that quite empty. I'm thinking of to turn that area to become a reading section. The style is either Option A or Option B. Option A is my favourite as it's simple, modern and colorful. Option B is a mature part of me. It's still simple, but there's some classy and vintage elements.

Hurm, which one?
